Relief Printing at Kress Contemporary

Relief printmaking is a time-honored technique used to create images on paper and fabric. This workshop, led by Eliza Cohen, will provide a hands-on experience where you’ll discover how traditional methods can be combined with contemporary artistic approaches to create original works of art.

You'll be guided through each step of the printmaking process, from tracing your design onto a linoleum block and carving it, to inking the block and producing a small edition of single-color prints. Whether you’re new to printmaking or looking to expand your artistic skills, this workshop provides a hands-on introduction to this exciting art form in a supportive environment.

Eliza Cohen is a printmaker and illustrator who graduated from the University of Tampa in 2022 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts. Specializing in both analog and digital techniques, she creates art using traditional printmaking methods—such as intaglio, relief, and letterpress—as well as digital illustrations and graphic apparel design. With experience as a workshop instructor and art teacher, Eliza is passionate about sharing her love of printmaking with the Tampa community.

We are offering an introductory rate for our Kress Contemporary workshop series so be sure to register today as space is limited.
