Tempus Projects is excited to announce the fourth installment of its lecture series, “Go Ahead, Buy Some Art,” featuring a panel discussion in partnership with TampaBay Community Design Center on April 9, 2025, at 6 PM. (Refreshments at 6 pm -discussion at 7 pm). This event aims to foster the growth and development of Tampa’s collector base through insightful dialogue with panelists Kaylin Price, John Byrd, Gary Schmitt, and Kathleen Bly, moderated by Linda Saul-Sena.
This panel discussion coincides with the ongoing exhibition “Staying In,” which opened at Tempus Projects on February 6 and showcases a diverse array of artists. The exhibition, running until April 10, 2025, reflects on the concept of domestic interiors, examining how spaces are decorated, designed, and lived in. Visitors can explore a variety of media, including locally crafted furniture, fine art objects, photography, painting, vintage pieces, and ceramics.
Participating artists in “Staying In” include John Byrd, Kyra Connolly, Adrián Gómez, David Kibby, Kari Kinder, Gigi Lage, Meg Griffiths, Dominic Lippillo & Mark Schoon, Walter Matthews, Carola Miles, Sam K Newton, Kaylin Price, Jib Projects, Heather Rosenbach, Mort Richter, Andrew Watson, and Chris Webb, among others. Each piece invites viewers to critically reflect on the significance of interior design in shaping our daily lives.
